Under Bloom is a pixelated platform/sidescroller game that prioritizes action, adventure, and story. Under Bloom indirectly draws inspiration from various myths, creating a unique spin on these ancient stories that lends them a more modern feel.

Source Naturelle is a sparkling water company. For this can design, I created these fun, abstract strawberry shapes that have a lot of movement, guiding your eyes around the can.

Monogram
For this project, I created a monogram of my initials DLK. My goal was to creatively fit these block letters into a circle. In this case, it made sense to flip the "D" backwards to contribute to the circle.

Web Page Design
The Jones Foundation offers financial assistance to children's health and education. Their website became outdated and had navigation problems. They were seeking a more modern feel and a design that had more color and vibrancy. I designed this website to meet their needs.

Sticker Design
I design this sticker for the 2024 Emporia First Friday (EFF) sticker competition. Every year EFF puts on a sticker competition and selects 4 winners and sells them at Trox Gallery and Gifts. My design got 3rd place.

The goal of this design was to combine a word and relevant imagery into that word. I did one design in color and another in black and white.

Live Drawing Competitioin
This was a live competitive chalk drawing piece I did with my sister, Cortanie, at the Halfway to Everywhere show in 2024. We ended up getting first place for this piece. I designed the composition of the piece by collaging elements of both of our art into one piece. Since we both have a similar style of art, each element of this piece seamlessly flows.
Personal Projects
My style resembles a mix between abstract expressionism and op-art with the incorporation of natural elements. I utilize various mediums such as, graphic design, printmaking, and painting/drawing. One of my favorite ways to explore making art is automatic drawing aka doodling, it is a way for me to enjoy making art and let loose. Much of my doodling is further expanded on and incorporated into more of my serious work.
